Chester Races are run at various times throughout the year and are very popular both with the locals and visitors. It is situated in a lovely setting on the River Dee and on a sunny summer's afternoon with the horses in full flow it is a very pleasant place to be.The town is very busy during the races so it is recommended that you book your Chester Hotel or accomodation well in advance.

FOOTBALL

Chester has it's own senior football club which plays in the lower echelons of the English League. During the season from August-May it plays it's games at the Deva Stadium.

Chester is well situated to visit both Liverpool and Manchester both a short train ride away. Both these cities have very famous football teams of world renown i.e Liverpool and Manchester United, so if you are a keen football fan it is worth savouring the experience of taking in a big game either at Anfield or Old Trafford, the homes of these global giants.
