FRANCS

The French Franc may be dead - but here in Chester Francs is very much alive. We've just celebrated our 20th anniversary and, true to tradition, we're not conforming to anything!
We like to think we add a special ingredient to French cuisine - fun!! The French just don't have their own word for it. Here at Francs, we take fun very seriously...

With three dining rooms buzzing with the residents of Chester, tourists from all over the world and local business people, the atmosphere at Francs is legendary - We're not traditionalists but we like to keep the very best of rustic ideas and throw in a few of our own. After 20 years, and more than a million meals, we think we've got the recipe just right. Hopefully you'll be able to make it along soon for a very special Francs welcome.

BRASSERIE 10-16

Whether you want for a quiet lunch, business dinner, romantic treat or full on celebration, 10-16 caters for everyone who appreciates fabulous food, excellent service and attention to detail at reasonable prices.

Recent redecoration has resulted in a new, more comfortable look for the restaurant. Fresh and bright by day, candle lit and relaxed by evening, 10-16 is contemporary yet warm and inviting with an exciting, bustling ambience.

The menu offers an eclectic range with an emphasis on the freshest ingredients and the creation of exciting flavours. There truly is something for everyone, from simple dishes such as smoked haddock fishcake on wilted spinach with a wholegrain mustard buerre blanc, to the gastronomic delights of whole roast sea bream oven baked with fennel, parsley and tomatoes or chargrilled pork on butter bean puree with spicy chorizo sausage and roast tomatoes.

Combined with our stylish bar lounge, where you can enjoy fine wines, drinks and cocktails, 10-16 offers a very special dining experience and has been recognised by many of the UK’s top restaurant guides.

PICCOLINO

Welcome to Piccolino, a vibrant Italian restaurant and bar with chic yet informal surroundings. Our broad menu offers something irresistible for everyone, serving a wonderful combination of both modern and classic Italian dishes prepared in an open kitchen boasting a Neapolitan wood stone oven.

Open from early morning to late at night, the intimate and bustling bar areas create a continental feel. Inspired by the traditional charm and contemporary buzz associated with classic brasseries, Piccolino brings a true taste of Italy to its customers.

There is no such thing as ordinary Italian fare at Piccolino; the restaurant uses only the finest quality seasonal ingredients with everything, bread and ice cream included, freshly prepared, and made on the premises by our chefs.

Located in the heart of Chester, next to the Governor Shopping Centre, Piccolino in Chester boasts an open fronted kitchen with glass bowls of bright red, yellow and green peppers lining the cupboards and an impressive vaulted ceiling.

Traditional wood floors and rich wood panelling on the walls contrast with sharp cherry-red leather seats, whilst straight rows of spotlights illuminate the spacious bar area.

Piccolino in Chester is located near to the City Wall, on Pepper Street, and is the perfect destination for a lively family lunch after visiting those famous walls, or a freshly made Bellini accompanied by delicious Italian aperitivos after a hard day’s shopping!
